Two lives, wrapped up in 180-something boxes. Moving into and out of a Milanese high-rise is certainly an experience. The movers were total professionals but it's still a little scary to see your stuff - everything from a KitchenAid stand-mixer to my 4th grade soccer trophies (yes, I need to get rid of them) - leave via a metal stand that slides seven floors down.
Day 7 is now Day 9. Thanks to the volcanic ash, we adjusted our schedule. Don't feel too bad for us, we get one extra weekend in Italy but will still be back in Texas in time for Cinco di Mayo!
