One of the famous gelaterias here in Milan is Chocolat, located near the Cadorna train station. I've been in that neighborhood countless times but never made it to the gelateria to check it out for myself. When my boss heard, she was horrified and used her authority to schedule a trip for me prior to my departure from Milan. Isn't she the best?
I hope the fuzziness of the picture doesn't take away from the deliciousness of the gelato. It was a pretty warm day (trench coat unbuttoned, scarf thrown into my purse) so I went for the fruity flavors. This is mango and basil-lime gelato. The mango was nice and creamy but not significantly better than the more-conveniently-located-to-me Bianco Latte gelateria. The basil- lime, however, was a revelation. OH MY GOSH. So good, so refreshing, I would eat it all summer if I were sticking around.
