I rarely get homesick. I got a little sad at Christmas, have regretted missing weddings, but in the day-to-day I am usually happy where I am. Except for this past Tuesday. I celebrated the inaugration of Barack Hussein Obama surrounded by a mix of Italians and Americans at a happy hour here in Milan. It was nice but looking at those crowds on the Mall, I wished I was elsewhere. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one wishing that. Happy Inauguration, America!
